Plan a getaway in the Caribbean? The following are the best resorts in the Caribbean to spend trip with your loved ones or yourself.
The Caribbean Sea and all its islands and surrounding areas are the coastal region of the Caribbean. The islands, reefs, and corals in this area are around 7,000. These are collectively called as the Caribbean. Cayman Islands, Antigua, Venezuela, Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Trinidad, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and St. Lucia are some of the most famous islands in the Caribbean and around the region. Given below is one of the widely known spots to have your vacation in the Caribbean.
ABC Islands
These islands are series of islands in the Caribbean ruled by Dutch. Channel includes many islands, each individual can benefit from the best Caribbean resorts. My own choices are Curacao and Aruba. The amazing carnival is celebrated here, in the middle of February, in which thousands of visitors participate worldwide. The party will go all night with shops and casinos open, as well. No singles should stay away from this place.
St. Martin
One of the islands most visited in the Caribbean is St. Martin, in which it's nice to party and enjoy nightlife. This is the best option for many European tourists maybe because the island is half-Dutch and half French. This has a lot of shops, casinos, and nightclubs and some stations that provide back-and-return of all clubs!
Costa Rica
Another amazing island in Caribbean known for its lush vegetation and wonderful coast good to visit is Costa Rica. There are affordable houses and hotels that ensure you do not spend a lot of your money. There is great nightlife here.
Honduras Bay Islands
You can find more adventure on this island. This island includes the Mayan ruins, diving, adventures in the jungle, eco-adventure, and night parties. In addition, surfing, horse riding, hiking, and zip lining are also offered here for tourists. You do not get the chance to experience these things if you failed to visit this place.

Summertime is far off ahead but getting set for a great escapade on one of those super Royal Caribbean cruises as early as now and knowing the tricks of the booking game can get you discounts and better deals.
The Best Deal for a Caribbean Cruise
The best deal on any of the Royal Caribbean cruises should fits one's budget - whether it's a romantic get-away for two or a family of four. Current rates for a seven-day cruise vary; regular ship runs are way cheaper than luxury liners but if you plan for a cruise that's worth the queen's crown, planning and saving ahead can get you the best deal.
However, most cruises offer slashed cruise deals during off-season that is when it is hurricane season and that's from June to November. The rest of the year will be sunny with drizzles; but should this stop you from looking into Royal Caribbean cruises to these amazing islands because the weather is soggy?
Here is good news; the Caribbean islands don't share a uniform weather. When it's rainy in one, the sun is shining in another, so check the islands' weather before settling on a specific island destination. The best time though to visit is during mid-December until mid-April when the weather is perfect for an island holiday.
Time that booking nearest to the date of departure so keep tabs of the different scheduled runs. The nearest to the date of departure you get a booking, the better your chances to get discounted prices.
Travel Off-Season
Stretch your budget further but travel in style and enjoy the pampering holiday-makers get from the cruise's crew, even on those off-season runs. The best service is available, great wine and food, plus top-notch entertainment for all ages goes non-stop for a seven nights' cruise. On land, hotels compete for your business with slashed hotel rates without diminishing the quality of service. So get a booking now for May or April and start saving for the good times ahead.
Check your Airline
Airlines offer lower rates if you get a booking for the point of departure; they also offer a cruise package that includes your cruise fare at discounted rates. Check the nearest airline booking office for these money-saving deals.
Book Online
Online booking for Royal Caribbean cruises gives you an edge money-wise. Schedules for a Caribbean cruise are available all year round and discounts are given on some particular dates of departure.
Choose Smaller Cabins
The larger the cabin with a panoramic view of sea and sky, the pricier it is. Since you won't be cooped up days and nights inside the cabin choose smaller rooms that would accommodate a couple or a family of four. The fun is not in the cabin but on the deck, at the game centers, spas, shopping malls, dinner dances, and the movies. Before you back off, here's the clincher - the rooms are ultra clean and the beds are soft and inviting.
With your budget stretched further, you can get a dose of those fun activities to the max on any of those Royal Caribbean cruises. It will be the best cruise you will experience on a budget.
Me and my friend are looking for a last minute holiday deal. We can go at any point within the next 4 weeks However, we need a good location to go. We're both 22 year old males by the way.
We would ideally like someone where with:
Beach & hot weather bearing in mind it will probably be November before we can travel.
A reasonable nightlife - we don't plan on it being a party holiday but a couple of nights out would be nice.
Something to do during the day (sightseeing etc.)
Price isn't as much of an issue as finding an good location but price should still be taken somewhat into account. We're probably not going to be able to get the Caribbean on our budget for example unless anyone is aware of any really good deals.
Also if anyone has any suggestions of the best websites to find these last minutes deals then that would be great.
Thanks.
Sorry - didn't mention that I'm from the UK. Thanks for the answers so far, some interesting ideas there.
You could go to the Helensburgh, a lovely little coastal town on the West of Scotland. I don't live there but I've been many times and I love it! It has great scenery, a fantastic beach and a fantastic hotel called The Commodore. Also, Helensburgh Golf Club is a must for all the budding golfers out there. The inventor of THE TELEVISION was born there so there is a sense of pride in the area. It is a mere 40 minutes from Glasgow airport with buses and taxes available. There is quite good nightlife and also you could go to Glasgow for the nightlife on a half an hour train journey. There is a train station in Helensburgh town centre. Lastly, there is a small theme park on the front, many restaurants to eat at, and the fantastic Cameron House resort is only twenty minutes away. You can have nice nature walks and bike rides. Have a good holiday whatever you choose. Hope I have helped.

Singles Cruises are a great way to fulfill your single adventures, and with Valentines Day just around the corner, cupid may have a few cruising tips up his/her sleeve!
We know that many singles get frustrated this time of year when passion and love hits the air with a fury, and they find it difficult every year to get out into their community to find that ultimate Valentine's Day date.
Some reasons could be that you're too shy, or you just don't have the time to meet people because of work, or personal commitments. So for all the singles struggling to find your special date, I suggest you save all your pennies, because a cruise vacation may be what the singles cruise doctor ordered!
When traveling alone you're complete strangers to everyone on a singles cruise, so normally many men and women tend to let their personal guards down during their vacation time, and become more relaxed and carefree.
This new attitude allows you to meet new people comfortably, and you become more open-minded and adventurous. While you're having fun encountering all your new acquaintances, you never know, this may be the moment you finally connect with your soul mate. For all the people who actually met, and fell in love with their special partners while on vacation, you know exactly what I'm talking about here!
Singles cruising has become extremely popular and affordable, and many single men and women take vacations by themselves because it provides them freedom, privacy, and offers them unique and exciting adventures of the unknown.
If you enjoy the hot sun, sandy beaches, and flowing rum punch, a Caribbean singles cruise may be the one for you. If you're a hopeless romantic, art lover, and enjoy relaxing while sipping on a glass of fine red wine, then possibly consider a European cruise. Whatever you desire, there's a vacation cruise right for you, and possibly someone waiting to meet you!
Sold on a singles vacation cruise? Here's Two Tips To Remember
Cruise Lines do acknowledge the growth of single travelers, and especially around Valentines week, they may provide special singles rates, unique singles events, and Valentine related activities. All you have to do is a little research on which Line out there offers the best singles special, and a few that come to mind are Royal Caribbean Cruises, Carnival, and Norwegian.
If you have never cruised with any of these ships before, you will come across specific terms in the industry that you should know in order to make sure you don't get confused on any of the offers the select Cruise Line's provide.
Tip #1: Individuals that are traveling alone will be subject to a single supplement charge. All cabins in most cases are based on double occupancy, so what Cruise Companies do to compensate for a stateroom not occupied by two people, is adding a supplemental charge for only one person in a room. It's not uncommon to see 150% or higher on top of the double rate, so it could get a little pricy!
However, during a promo or ship special, look out for the Cruise Lines that waive this additional fee, where if you tell them you're traveling as a single person, you will pay for the double rate, but they will place you in a stateroom with another person of the same gender. This program is called "Single Share", or something similar.
The second offer I mentioned is more common, and in my experience (no guarantees), they usually don't find a match, and you end up getting your own cabin. Good deal if it works out that way, but for some of you having a roommate might be interesting and fun!
Tip#2: Check your local newspaper, or go online directly to some of the exclusive cruise suppliers, and see if there are any group-cruises blocked for Valentine's week, or for any other week that you desire. There may be a Singles Club that has already pre-booked space, and is selling it to their current members and to the public.
By joining a group "Theme Cruise", you're still traveling as a single, but you get the advantages of the discounted savings, or reduced single supplement fees. They will also coordinate fun interactive singles activities, such as a singles night at the ship's bar, nightly dinner match-ups, and singles tour excursions, which is personalized for casual, and no pressure mingling.
The best feature traveling with a large group, is you're cruising with people that have a common interest; they're all single searching for love!
My family (dad, mom, and i) are going somewhere out of the U.S. on vacation for next summer, 2008 - 2009. We don't want to go into Canada, Russia, or the Caribbean. Can anybody recommend a good place to go and some activities there?
Thanks(:

Whether you want to go to the Caribbean islands for fun in the sun, Las Vegas for excitement and entertainment, Cancun for some surfing and adventure, or Disney World for family fun and thrilling rides, you need to check out all inclusive cheap vacation packages in order to get the most out of your trip!
The most basic vacation packages include at least two of the following: hotel accommodation, airfare, car rental or limousine transportation, food, and tickets to events and attractions. An all inclusive package, however, includes most or all of these things! If you don't want the hassles of dealing with the details, then this type of vacation is for you. Everything will be taken care of, and all you have to do is book the package and show your ID and passport whenever prompted.
Sometimes these vacations include bus or train tours as well. If you want to sightsee in Europe, Asia, or the North American coastline, you can choose a package that is designed specifically for sightseeing and touring. This is a great option if your main goal is to see as much as possible during your travels. When searching for this type of deal online, pay close attention to the destination cities and train or bus departure times.
If you're not sure of what you want to do, some of the popular travel websites will give you a variety of options to choose from so that you can customize your own trip. You will be presented with numerous ideas, and you can select the ones that seem most appealing to you. You can also browse through all inclusive cheap vacation packages to get some ideas.
Before you make your selection(s), there are a few things you need to consider. Will you be going by yourself? How many adults and children will be traveling with you? Will there be any senior citizens? Is it going to be a family vacation? Who are you going to be sharing a room with? Are the other adults putting you in complete charge of the planning?
All inclusive cheap vacation packages are easy to plan if you're just going by yourself. However, the trip might be boring if you don't bring some companions along. If you are going to take kids, you need to make sure that the package includes activities that are safe and fun for kids. If senior citizens are going along, you need to make sure that the package doesn't include anything too strenuous. Look over all the options carefully and ask others what they think about various activities.

Where is the best place to go in the Caribbean with your grilfriend?
My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to the Caribbean at the end of November. We are going to get a cheap deal off selloffvacations.com at the last minute. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations or things to look out for when planning this trip? I don't want to get there and have nothing for us to do, and we do not want to end up in a dump.
The only thing I know so far is we need to get at least a 4 star resort, and were going for all inclusive.
Without knowing what you like to do, it is hard to recommend specific locations, but at any rate I suggest you talk to a Travel agent that specializes in the Caribbean. I good agent will ask you a lot of questions and get to know you and then recommend several options for you. As far as resorts go, 4 star means some different to each person, for example does that mean butler service and lots of marble, or does it mean big rooms, fancy meals, great alcohol selections, lots of in resort activities. Maybe that means you really just want an ocean FRONT room right over the beach. Even for us professionals who have been to a lot of places it still takes us a lot of time to find the right place for clients, so try a travel agent, if you don't like the answer you can still use a click agency and take your chances.
have fun,
mark

Cruises have long had a reputation as vacations for the wealthy. However, this year more than ever before, vacationers may find that the absolute best vacation deals are all-inclusive cruises. As travel agents and cruise lines reach for new business to tide them through the hard financial times, they are putting together some amazing cruise deals that will appeal to everyone from singles to seniors, honeymooners to families. If you are looking for the best cruise deals, the following steps will help you find them.
1. Decide What Type of Cruise You Want and Be Flexible
These days, there are plenty of different types of cruises available from family-fun cruises to luxury adult singles cruises. Before you start shopping around, decide what you want from a cruise vacation including destination, ship size, type of cruise, dates, and price range. Keeping these pertinent details in mind will help you narrow down your choices while giving a cruise agent a starting point to put together a cruise package that suits you best.
2. Start Planning Well in Advance
In general, the best time to book a cruise is between the months of January through March. During these three months, cruise lines tend to book about thirty-five percent of their business for the entire year. Therefore, during these months you will most likely find the best deals being offered by all of the major cruise lines. If you are not in a position to book during those months, do not despair. You can still get great cruise deals by booking well in advance of sailing date, or by waiting and taking advantage of last minute cruise and cancellation deals.
3. Check Online Travel Sites for Current Cruise Deals and Best Prices
There has been an explosion of online sites that let you search multiple booking sites for the best cruise deals. Today there are a number of web sites that allow you to search across all of the major sites at once, which will save you time and allow you to easily compare what is being offered by many different cruise lines. Find the best deals on the cruises that you want, and print out the details for your cruise file.
4. Check the Cruise Lines Directly
You can also go directly to the cruise line's website to get information on the cruises, destinations, and ships that each line offers, as well as their best deals on those cruises. Some cruise lines have special cruise deals that are available only through their own website and most offer special discounts if you book through their own website. While you are perusing their site, sign up for a newsletter if they offer one. Cruise newsletters are a great way to keep up to date on the best cruise deals being offered. Again, print out the details of cruises that interest you and add them to your cruise file.
5. Contact a Travel Agent Specializing in Cruises
Despite the popularity of online travel booking sites, most cruises are still being booked through travel agents. An experienced travel agent knows the business ver well, and keeps a finger on what is constantly happening in the industry. An agent will often be able to put together an entire package that includes travel to your departure destination, overnight lodging if required, the cost of the cruise, and travel home from your ending destination. In addition, a good cruise and travel agent will be able to book you on special tours and events you may enjoy during your vacation, something you will not usually find when you book online yourself.
However, be prepared to get your best price on a cruise deal before you visit the travel agent. That is where your prepared cruise file comes in handy. Pick the cruises that are most appealing to you, and ask the cruise agent if they can get you a better price, or offer a better deal on one of the cruises that you are considering.
You can also shop around for the best cruise agent. Be honest and tell each agent you speak with that you are comparison shopping for your best deal. Some will charge you a nominal consultation fee.
6. Compare Prices and Choose Your Best Deal
Once you have put together a list of the best deals that you have found wither online or through cruise agents, sit down with them and compare them side by side. Be sure that you consider all of the costs and benefits of each cruise deal before you make a final decision. Do not be afraid to call an agent back with a counter offer. Most travel agents will go the extra mile to get you the best cruise deals possible, especially if there is a little competition involved.
Be sure to check back online one last time after you have found your best deals just in case any cruise deals have been updated since you last checked. If a travel agent offered you the best cruise deal of all, contact him or her to book the cruise. If you found your best deal online, follow through to book your cruise online. No matter where you find your best deal on a cruise vacation, you will be satisfied in knowing that you got the best possible vacation for the best possible price.

When on your cruise, you can stretch the pound quite far. Cruises are filled with activities where one can enjoy partying, swimming while going on a cruise. You will be able to access a range of activities right from yoga to sunbathing and from watching TV to dancing. They are a great venue to be at, with your family. The cruise will allow you and your family to have a lot of fun, for a relatively low amount. If you are wondering how to find a cheap cruise or to get good deals, then you have come to the perfect place. Reading this article will definitely help you in solving many of your problems.
Choose a good destination: The most important decision you would need to make is to choose a location. If you are looking for a good deal, leave the places that have little or no connectivity, they will prove to be expensive.
Consult many people: There are many deals out there, waiting to be grabbed. The real challenge is to pick the right one. Do not be satisfied after asking one or two people. Ask travel representatives and family. Family and friends can be great sources of advice, the fact being that they may have traveled to various countries on cruises.
Time: Time is another factor that will decide the price of out tour. If you try to travel abroad in the peak season, then you may have to shell out spare pounds. Going off-time, though not always convenient and feasible is one of the best ways to find a good deal. The main objective in the 'non-peak' season is to entice the customers by offering cheaper tour packages. Usually the summer season is the time when everybody is gushing out of their homes. This is the worst time to go on a cruise, if you are price sensitive. Moreover many people hate traveling in the summer due to the 'kid's factors'. There are many kids, as the schools close down.
There will be many travel companies which showcase which time, it is best to travel, and to where. To cite an example, Australia is the best to visit in summer, while South Africa is the best to travel in winter.
Look online for good deals- The computer has literally revolutionized the way we live. The internet will give you access to the world's best travel sites and cruise ships and you can compare and choose. The end-result is well worth the time you put in the research. Comparing prices online will also give you a brief idea on the amount of money that you are going to need, and how many you are actually saving. If you do not find a good deal, try someplace else, good deals are out there, waiting to be exploited.
Some cruises may give concession from bringing kids along. One should definitely encourage this as it will save a lot of hard earned cash. All the best for your next vacation.
Anybody know of some cheap Caribbean/Tropical cruise deals?
It needs to be sometime (i'm a little flexible) during the month January '07.
January is a really hot month for cruising. However, if you check out the "HOT DEALS" in red on the Royal Caribbean page, you can book last minute (since you said you're flexible) and save lots of $$.
Short caribbean cruises are less expensive anyways. Look for 4-5 night for $500 Cdn. and you're doing awesome.
The history of a place often begins with a person or event. The history of the beautiful Crane Resort in Barbados began with a cliff. In 1769, steps were carved into the cliff on the south side of what is today's Crane Resort. The steps allowed ladies to sea-bathe discreetly, as it was improper for ladies to be seen bathing in public. The steps are still there.
Toward the close of the 1700s, wealthy plantation owners and prosperous merchants sought the recuperative qualities of the cool breezes and stimulating climate of the cliff, while in the azure sea below, small trading ships sailed in. The crane at the top of the cliff used to raise and lower cargo gave its name to the area and today's famous resort.
A mansion built of coral on the cliff around 1790 exists almost in its original form and today is part of the east section of the Crane Hotel. In 1886, the mansion was enlarged and opened as a hotel, development helped by the railway that ran from Barbados' capital city, Bridgetown. Over the years, the Crane has been expanded and refined but still retains its natural beauty and old-world charm and elegance.
The Crane's beach consists of fine, light pink sand; it's been voted one of the prettiest beaches in the Caribbean. It's certainly one of the most romantic spots on earth and happily secluded away from the bustle of much of the island.
The Crane, situated on the southeast coast of the island where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, is a favorite getaway for celebrities, families, and honeymooners. An early celebrity was the American cowboy, Wild Bill Hickok, who paid his hotel bill in the 1890s with his gold chain.
You can find good deals in Cancun, Dominican Republic, Aruba, Barbados and many others. Right now there are sales going on. I just saw in my Sunday newspaper (travel section)many Caribbean Islands on sale with the following companies.
