Trinidad weather has some of the widest variations throughout the year of any Caribbean destination. It is a classic southern Caribbean island that is lush, tropical and very wet thanks to drenching rainfalls during the summer.

Rainfall averages about one to two inches from January through April, according to the World Weather Organization. It picks up slightly and May, jumps to more than six inches in June and peaks at nearly 10 inches in August. It subsides somewhat in September and October and jumps again to more than eight inches in November before dropping to three inches in December.

The number of days it rains each month varies widely as well. January and February have about 10 rain days, but March and April drop to six apiece. June, July, August and November average about 20 rain days to go with the heavy downpours. September and October experience about 16 rain days apiece.

Unlike the wild variations in rainfall, Trinidad temperatures are more predictable.

Trinidad has a southern location -- just off the coast of Venezuela -- and is therefore quite warm even during the winter. The average monthly high temperature is about 89 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year with only a few degrees of variation, the World Weather Organization says. The average monthly low temperature is about 71 degrees.

The best times for a Trinidad vacation are January through May when rainfall is lightest. April and May are the warmest months of the year on average, but only by a few degrees. June through November are the worst month to visit Jamaica because of heavy rain.

I am looking to plan a trip for as cheap as possible. Looking to go to Florida (swimming with the dolphins), Nashville, or some where in the Caribbean. Can anyone help?

Which Caribbean island!?!?!?

Soo which island would be the best for a family with teens like 14 12 17 16 and two parents. Preferably a resort with a water slide and lots of activities for us. Give me a couple of options please! It's for christmas break

Honestly, the best resort out there for you guys would be a Beaches resort (http://www.beaches.com/index.cfm?referral=134793). Their all-inclusive resorts cater to families and have lots of activities, a water park, Xbox game rooms, etc. Snorkeling excursions are even INCLUDED in the price. Your kids would be VERY happy there.

My first recommendation would be Beaches Turks & Caicos (http://www.beaches.com/main/tc/tc-home.cfm?referral=134793). It's the biggest Beaches resort and has the most activities, amount of restaurants (16 of them... and all included), etc. They have a big water park with slides, a lazy river, surf simulator. It is really a phenomenal resort and worth EVERY penny and MORE.

My second recommendation would be either Beaches Negril (http://www.beaches.com/main/ng/ng-home.cfm?referral=134793) or Beaches Boscobel (http://www.beaches.com/main/bo/bo-home.cfm?referral=134793). They are both in Jamaica (one in Negril and one in Ocho Rios) and both are smaller than Beaches Turks & Caicos, but they still have a lot of things to do, have water slides, and all the other fun stuff for both the kids and the adults to do.

The smallest and cheapest Beaches resort is Beaches Sandy Bay (http://www.beaches.com/main/sb/sb-home.cfm?referral=134793). That resort doesn't have a water park and has less restaurants, BUT it is a free, and quick, shuttle ride away from Beaches Negril and you and the family can go and play and eat at Beaches Negril all day if you'd like and just come back to Beaches Sandy Bay to sleep. That is included and won't cost you anything extra (part of Beaches all-inclusive exchange privileges).

I have been to all of these resorts and can tell you first hand, Beaches is GREAT for kids at that age, and for adults too. I am confident you guys would love it there. Especially Beaches Turks & Caicos.

Does anyone know how I can get a refund from Caribbean Cruise Line?

HELP! I received a free cruise voucher in the mail from Caribbean Cruise Line and gave them a call. Thought it was legit but shortly after I paid the port charges and government taxes, I did my research and found out it was a scam. I called customer service and tried to cancel and get a full refund but they refuse to give me my money back. The woman I spoke to said that they had the right to secure my payment and there was no way for me to get my money back from them. Nowhere in their Terms & Conditions state that payments were non-refundable so I'm wondering how else I can get my refund without having to sue because that's just too much work. Someone please help me!

Write a letter to your local TV stations consumer reporters and explain how they suckered you into a cruise that you thought was free and how they refused to let you cancel and get your money back. You may not get it back but you can for sure give them a lot of bad publicity about their bait and switch tactics. Then write letters to the Better Business Bureau in the city where the cruise line is located and/or operating and explain why they need to be reported as running a bait and switch company.

I went to St. Marten last year and loved it . I have also been to Dominican Republic , Cuba and Mexico and had some good memories from them too. I always include Scuba diving as part of my vacation and mingle with the locals.Tell me your story.

I think you should try Belize next. It would suit you to the ground, with friendly locals and plenty to do. My fond memories are of the remarkable wildlife, canoeing down the river (with armadillos attacking our tent at night), and visiting Mayan temples. Cheap Girls Vacation ideas?

My best friend and I want to take a vacation somewhere warm and not in the U.S.! We want to have fun and relax/party. My boyfriend is not into vacations (weird I know) or planes so she and I always go camping and do fun things together to get away. We of course, like everyone, are on a budget and are looking into various "all inclusive" resorts in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Dominican, Aruba, Caribbean etc. We can fly out of Boston if needed but just need some help as this is our first time doing this and don't want to deal with a travel agent. any ideas/experience?
