Johnny Depp Sets Sail on Fourth 'Pirates' Movie "Title"
Captain Jack Sparrow will soon take to the seas again, and this time he is after the most sought-after treasure imaginable: the Fountain of Youth.
It was announced this week that the fourth installment of Disney's highly successful "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise will begin filming in Hawaii this summer. Johnny Depp once again plays the flamboyant Captain Jack, and Geoffrey Rush reprises his role as his adversary, Barbossa. However, costars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are not expected to return.
What is meant by:
1-sets sail (in the title)
2-will soon take (should it be take us)
3-he is after the most sought-after treasure
4-installment
1- sets sail : he departures or takes off or leaves on his journey they use the word sail because he is a pirate and he will be sailing in his ship.
2- will soon take : it should not be take use because he is taking him self back to the sea again so "will soon take to the seas again" meaning shortly he will be traveling the sea again to get somewhere. Or continue his adventure since this is the Fourth pirates movie.
3- 'He is after the most sought-after treasure 'simply means the Jack Sparrow or Johnny Depp is after the most "wanted" treasure the word sought-after means most wanted or most wished for.
4- Installment - could mean many things but in this particular case it means that the Fourth "Part" of disney's highly successful ...
Did you know... Haiti's shooters -- Ludovic Valborge, L. H. Clertmont, Astrel Rolland, Destin Destine, C. Dupre, Eloi Metullus & Ludovic Augustin -- won a bronze medal at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games -- making it the first black nation in the globe to win a Summer Olympic medal. This medal made Haiti the poorest country ever to win an Olympic medal. Surprisingly they do it in an island where there are few sports facilities. Certainly the Caribbean team was a "dark horse" in France.

Did you know... The island nation of Haiti was once home to Katherine Dunham, one of the most successful dancers of the 20th century. Undoubtedly she loved Haiti. America's Katherine Dunham had long been fascinated by the Haitian culture and traditions. Her book "Island Possessed" ( 1969 ) is a tribute to this Caribbean nation. In 2002 she, who was born in Glenn Ellyn ( Illinois, USA ), forced the world to pay attention to the Haitian-boat people. Today Katherine is a national heroine in Haiti.

President Clinton arrived in Port-au-Prince to confer with Jean-Bertrand Aristide ( country's president ). On the other hand, Colin Powell, Secretary of State, went to the country in 2004. In 2008, Laura Bush, America's First Lady, was the guest of honour of the Haitian government. Subsequently, Hillary Clinton, current Secretary of State, accepted an invitation to visit Haiti. In Port-au-Prince, she , who visited the country in 1998, met with high-ranking Haitian officials.
In the mid-1990s, Jimmy Carter, 2002 Nobel Peace Prize and former U.S. president, played a key role in bringing an end to military rule in Haiti.

During that regional tournament, Haiti also qualified for the global championships in Munich, West Germany. The country had never qualified for a major soccer tournament before. This international title gave Haiti a moment of joy and glory. In Europe, Haiti and Zaire -- today the Democratic Republic of the Congo ( Africa ) -- were the first black republics to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in the 20th century.

Many families purchase timeshares so that they can spend their vacation together. People who are considering buying a timeshare need to find out why they want to buy a timeshare and what the considerations to be kept in mind are.
An investment in a timeshare is financially attractive for several reasons. If you have a large family, you can enjoy your holiday vacation with all your family members with less financial and mental stress if you own a hassle-free timeshare. If one does not want to go on the same vacation every year, timeshare may not be the right choice of investment, but one can choose to sublease their timeshare to profit off of the time that they are not there. Timeshares guarantee locales and vacation destinations, but owners have to pay annual maintenance fees depending on the location and the nature of the property.
When purchasing timeshares, one has to keep in mind several factors like location, price, flexibility, and lifestyle and recreational preferences. For example, if the buyer likes the beach, he cannot buy a timeshare in the resort located in a mountain range. One has to check whether the timeshare is part of an owner's club or association. Buyers can contact the Better Business Bureau to find this out. If the resort is affiliated with an exchange company, buyers have to check whether membership can be transferred. One should not buy timeshares sight unseen and they should not go for incomplete or unproven timeshares unless recovery of losses is stipulated in the timeshare contract.
One has to understand resort ratings while buying timeshares. Timeshares with higher ratings are usually much more expensive than those with lower ratings or those with less desirable locations. Examples of high demand areas are Hawaii, the California coast, Palm Springs Winter, the Florida coast and Orlando, the Caribbean, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head Island.
The motive behind the purchase should be to buy a timeshare you will enjoy for a low cost. It is advisable to buy timeshares through a licensed real estate broker. If possible, buyers should buy insurance on the timeshare.

My parents live in Buffalo NY, and are planning to go on a vacation some where in the Caribbean next february. We were planning to stay at and all inclusive hotel in Punta Cana, DR, but the timing of the flights there didn't cooperate with our work/school schedules. We are looking for some place with beautiful beaches, the famous turquoise blue water, and a place that's relatively cheap. Our budget is about $4,000.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have been on three Caribbean Cruises so I have seen a lot of the Caribbean. In my opinion, the best way to see the Caribbean is by cruising. You get to see more than one place for a similar price, however cruising isn't for everyone.
I would advise you to stay away from St Lucia. The third time we went there, we didn't feel very safe. Someone was following us and the police urged us not to go any further down this road we were walking in. Also, the weather was dismal each time as it gets more rain than England. It is okay if you are only going for a few ways but a week or two weeks would be too much.
Barbados doesn't have the Caribbean feel than the other islands have.
St Thomas is apart of the US Virgin Islands and has the most magnificent beaches. A gorgeous place to visit.
Dominican Republic is nothing special either.
Dominica is beautiful with fabulous rainforests.
Tortola is also fabulous.
Antigua has a beach for every day of the year so it is magnificent.
While on the ship, we were warn many times against watching our bags and such while in Jamaica, however we did feel very safe.
Curacao is very colourful with each house painted a different colour.
Grenada is lovely as is Aruba.
It really depends on what you want from a holiday as to which island you choose.

cheapest and friendliest place to live in the caribbean?
It would depend on where you come from to say which would be cheaper but if you are from the USA you can try USVI or Cayman Islands, even Puerto Rico. If you are from England you can try BVI!
Hope this helps!

My boyfriend (31 y/o) and I (24 y/o) are looking to take a cruise in December - either the first or second week, so we don't miss Christmas. We're looking into the Noordam cruise on Holland America but I'm reading some really crazy price scams online about Holland America and it's making me hesitant to book..
We hear Carnival is more booze cruising/partying, and Princess is dull. I've already been on Celebrity, and he's already been on Royal Caribbean.
What's a good cruise for two people who are looking to relax, don't like night clubs but enjoy a few drinks, and would like to have more to do on the ship than shuffleboard and crew talent shows, but don't need 24/7 entertainment to be happy?
Basically - where are we going to find younger couples and recently married couples? Looking to avoid the seniors and the kiddies.
My husband and I went on a Princess cruise this summer, which we found fantastic. We're only 22 and we had a great time. There were several bars and lounges to enjoy a drink, and there was always something to do. We didn't find it dull at all.
Family of 4-----2 adults, 2 11 year olds. Something contemporary (not too old---new looking) and luxurious. Plenty of activities (and some excursions)----we are active. All-Inclusives (something nice)? (we already went to Jamaica and Cancun) Nothing too touristy like Atlantis. Caribbean? Other parts of Mexico? Central America? Beaches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not Florida!!!! Another country would be nice---as I said, we're active and eager to go on excursions to explore other cultures. We still would like a tropical beach.
Go a nudist resort. seriuoly its safe and fun and relaxing.

What should I take to my grandmother in the hospital?
She had a heart attack a few days ago and she's been in the hospital for a few days. I visited her yesterday and she had some magazines and a crossword puzzle book up there, and not much else. She's a kid at heart and very active for a older woman. She hates stuff like knitting. She's not the average grandma. She keeps saying she wants to go to italy, the caribbean, annywhere but there. lol. she loves history, so i got about five of my favorite books about marie antoinette, etc. and i was gonna take to her. i was thinking about getting her some flowers too. what else might she like? my aunt already brought her some loofahs and shampoo and stuff.
How about some upbeat music that she can listen to? Perhaps you can lend her your ipod or an mp3 player...

Need help finding a cheap cruise to the Caribbean over the summer of 2010!?
I'm looking for a 4 day cruise out of Miami on any of the cruise lines. I'm looking to pay less than $100 a day at the most(including tips, taxes and fees). I have the summers off so last minute deals are welcome. I can go anytime during the summer with about 2 weeks notice. Anyone know any good websites or travel agents that might be able to accomodate me? Also good websites for last minute flights would be helpful as well. Thanks!
Summer is "prime time" for Caribbean cruising, as kids are out of school and that's when most people take vacations. This, despite the fact that it's also hurricane season in the Caribbean. Thus, the cruises will not be "cheap".
"Last minute" in the cruise business means < 60 days out [which is when most final payments are due].
There are good travel agents in your town [AAA is good, if you're a member] and there are the "usual" on-line sites. I would not advise using an on-line site unless you've cruised before [which I suspect you haven't] or have done extensive research. There are many variables you'll need to choose from before you are ready to book, although you do already have a departure port and destination in mind.
You don't mention a travel companion, so if you're traveling solo, you'll be charged "double", basically, as cabins are sold double-occupancy.
Carnival is probably your best bet for the lowest cost. That being said, the three or four day cruises to the Bahamas are not the best cruise experience, but you'll be OK if it's your first cruise.
