American relocating to Caribbean or Mexico to work??
I am a female graduating this December with a Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism, with a concentration in Tourism Destination Management. I am very interested in moving to a resort area in the Caribbean or Mexico, and working for a resort, ideally where they provide housing because I know that's pretty common. However, I'm not sure where to start. I've looked on jobs pages on some reputable resorts I know of, but found they had little info. I've also looked on Craig's List which is sketchy, and some work abroad web sites but their programs have specific requirements. I'll be a college graduate looking to go at some point next year on a short term basis (6 months to a year). Any info on where I should look or how to get started is much appreciated!!
Also, if you are an American and have done this yourself, I'd appreciate any advice/concerns.
Thanks so much!
Your best bet may be to approach one of the major US Hotel chains and ask if they have an apprentice program which has slots in that region. Parts of Mexico can be very dangerous so research well and consider carefully.

List some of your favorite foods from the caribbean and which island they are from and why you choose that dish.
jerk chicken (NOT jerk mountain chicken), fried plantains and beans and wash it down with a red stripe. After dinner, some blue mountain coffee with a splash of Barbados Rhum (yes, that's how I spell it)
I was looking at a magazine about other countries and Cuba seems to have it really well. Beautiful cities and hotels, nice homes, and beaches that seem like there is always a party and the people look really happy. So what are they complaining about? Yeah they are communist but it really doesn't sound that bad. I'm starting to think that the Cubans are trying to make it seem like they have it bad so they can have a free pass into the USA and take over. They already took over Miami. I don't think they're really "struggling" over there at all! They just want to take over. Haiti is the country who could really use the "wet foot dry foot law" They are the ones who are really struggling. Cuba is nowhere compared to Haiti when it comes to struggle. I think the only reason Cubans get a free pass to the USA is because most of them are white. That's what I honestly believe. If any island in the Caribbean really needs help, its the Haitians. If I'm wrong please prove me otherwise.
many cubans black
only 11 million so hardly gonna take over usa
yes haiti needs huge help so does all of africa so where do you draw the line
I'm planning a 4 day Caribbean cruise with my wife, i'm 25 and she is 29. Both cruises are priced very similar for a balcony room. My problem is I'm not sure if Celebrity offers enough entertainment. My wife and I love to go to bars/nightclubs and dance a lot, and the Norwegian Sky looks like it has more in the way of clubs and places for us to hang out. But the Celebrity Century just looks like a much nicer and classier ship. Both offer the "Anytime Dining" option, norwegian calling it Freestyle.
Any thoughts on what would be better for us. I've been on cruise reviews and cruise critic enough to make my head hurt lol.
On NCL, be ready to be nickled-and-dimed to death. All cruise lines do it, but NCL abuses it and it gets old real quick.
The Norwegian Sky..... not sure you could pay me to go. However, with Celebrity, you can't go wrong. Visit the disco at night. You'll find the other young couples there.

could i have information about the clothes in caribbean islands?
I am assuming you are asking about traditional clothing.
Weather is hot in the Caribbean, therefore light weight clothing is worn. West Indies dress traditionally, colorful outfits. Lots of colors are part of the culture. The women wear dresses or skirts, no jeans or shorts. The men wear jeans and a shirt. the women also wear head scarfs to keep their hair in place.
I'm sure someone will post additional information about their island clothing. I hope this helps some)

Where should my fiance and I go on our July honeymoon?
As of right now we are looking for an all inclusive, caribbean location. We are definitely wanting something with a white sandy beach and crystal clear waters where we can just relax and enjoy each other. We have been considering a Sandals resort in Jamaica, but we really need some advice on which resort to pick. Money is not too big of an issue, but we don't want to go broke as soon as we're married. Any help and advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
Any suggestions on an affordable beach vacation in October in Latin America or Caribbean?
By affordable I mean I have about $1500 for air, hotel and expenses there, so an all-inlcusive sounds like a good deal. Hopefully for more than 3 nights
The all-inclusive resorts on Dominican Republic are very affordable.
Here is a list. We like the Punta Cana area (east coast)but there are some nice resorts also in Puerto Plata (north coast)
