I would like to take another cruise. Which is better Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise line?

I took a cruise in 04'. I was on the Carnival's Imagination. I didn't enjoy the cruise. I thought it was boring. Not a lot to do. I thought, it would be party after party on the ship. The food was horrible.

both are good options. The better one for you depends a lot on what you like about a vacation. Carnival is generally considered a "younger" line that caters to families and younger age groups. The decor can be somewhat vegas-like. Royal Carribean is a little more "upscale" and offers some nice options.

It's all relative. Personally, I have cruised on Princess and Norwegian. I would go with the RCCL if it were my choice.

What are the best discounted travel websites to book trips?

I have seen many special "deals" to book vacation trips on Expedia or bookingbuddy.com. Are these specials legitimate? I am looking to go to Cabo San Lucas or somewhere in the Caribbean from the NorthEast. Any suggestions of trusting websites? Thank you!!

I use Expedia and have never had in problem. Usually, I just book airfare from them and find hotels separately, but on a couple of occassions where the Expedia package was actually cheaper, it worked out fine.

Here are the Honeymoon excursions we are deciding between:

A). Stay in Over-water villas at Kanuhura, Coco Palm or other resort in the atolls of Maldives in the Indian Ocean & on our way home, stop in Agra, India to see the gorgeous Taj Mahal.

B). Island-hopping in the Caribbean between Barbados & St. Lucia. Rent a private villa & go diving in Barbados, plus have a view of the Pitons in St. Lucia.

C) Fly to the eastern Australian coast for a few days & then fly to a Fiji resort like Namale or Royal Davui. Mixin' a little outback with our scuba.

D) Tour South America. Stay at Peace Lodge in the waterfall gardens & sanctuary in Costa Rica & move to Belize and south to Brazil, while touring Mayan ruins & staying in rainforest bungalows.

We're obviously not basing our entire honeymoon of of this one vote; but we are looking for everyone's feedback! Thanks!
What places are best about Bali ?

Go to Maldives that would be fantastic for honeymoons. And do some diving there, it has really an amazing underwater world. And take a Robinson cruise ( many resorts in Maldives will offer this), where you will spend the whole day in an uninhabited island. It will be unforgatable.

What is the best caribbean island to travel to in August that is also cheap?

I will be going with friends and a boyfriend.

St. Croix is usually the cheapest island in the Caribbean, August is low season so there are more savings at that time period. I usually deal direct with the hotel and make them an offer lower than the advertised rate and usually get it as the hotels are only 20% occupied at that time, this is easier to do with the small hotels. I tell them my money is better than no money!!!!

Direct nonstop flights from chicago?

i am in the middle of planning a vacation for my hubby, my 9 month old and myself....I am looking to fly aomewhere nonstop? Are there any caribbean, mexican, or international desinations that anyone can recommend where i can fly nonstop from either Chicago O'Hare or Midway?? Please help!

travelling alone as woman with my child is it safe to be on the ship for 6 days .?planing the trip on June.

You'll be safer than in many other places.

Most cruise lines have staff that get to know the passengers, and befriend them, keeping an eye on them.

You might find other single parents and find some neat activities for the child -- go for it

Interesting places to fly from Florida?

Hey everyone. We live in Hawaii and are flying to Florida to stay for a few weeks from June-July this year. I'm just wondering, is there anywhere interesting you can fly from there for under $1000 per person? (just fly, not including hotels or anything) I don't care what continent it is.. whether it is South America, Europe, Africa, or whatever.. as long as the roundtrip airfare from ANY airport in Florida (especially: Tampa, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, or Fort Meyers) is under $1000 per person, it qualifies. (and it does not fall under the places I have no desire to visit.. which is below)

Places I have no desire to visit: Canada, Caribbean (I live in Hawaii!), other places in the United States.

So really, it should be in a different country. Thank you!

Hmmn. To my surprise, it looks like you can fly from MIA to Madrid for $711 RT on Air Europa, or to London on Delta for $873, or MCO or TPA to Paris for $913, changing in Charlotte, or MIA to Sao Paulo for $971 on Copa via Panama City. Those are terrific prices for this summer.

(Note: If you are a US citizen, add in $150 per person for the visa if you want to go to Brazil.)
