It doesn't really need anything else added to it to bring romance to mind. Just the words "Caribbean Cruise" are enough to invoke romantic images in the minds of most couples. With all the usual trappings of cruise travel, plus the special magic provided by the colorful culture of the Caribbean islands, a Caribbean cruise is the ultimate romantic getaway and a perfect honeymoon choice.

There are many different companies offering Caribbean cruises so the first thing you need to do is collect information on what's available. When planning your vacation you will need to make two lists - one of which has the excursion itineraries of each available cruise, and the other lists the facilities provided on each cruise ship. Also check out the type of cabin you will be able to afford - you will be spending quite some time in this space so it needs to be the best your budget will cover. Investigate what the quoted fare includes and make a note of any surcharges, port taxes, excursion costs etc - these can add up and if you are going to make the most of your Caribbean cruise, you need to keep it within an affordable budget. Look into any special interest theme cruises that will be offered by the cruise company, these could include hobbies, music, age groups, couples only, etc. This cruise will be the trip of a lifetime for you and your partner, so make sure that you choose the trip that will give you both everything you are looking for - luxury, adventure, and of course, romance!

Depending on the itinerary that your chosen cruise offers, you and your partner will be able to enjoy such romantic experiences as exploring a rainforest or swimming under a waterfall in St. Lucia; walking on the beach in the Bermuda moonlight, or scuba diving in the beautiful clear waters of the Caribbean. A cruise is the perfect way to get a taste of each of the individual islands that make up the Caribbean - once you've had a quick visit to a number of different islands; you'll know which of them you'd love to return to for another visit - perhaps even a second honeymoon! For the ultimate in romance, how about getting married on one of the islands that you visit? On a Caribbean cruise, almost anything is possible!

Back on board your cruise ship, you can spend the hours traveling between ports and islands by relaxing in your cabin, or having a spa treatment at one of the ship's facilities. There are usually plenty of deck activities arranged for those who want to take advantage of them, but for those who prefer to spend quality time with their partner, there's always the sun deck where you can lie under a Caribbean sun on an adjacent lounger to your partner, making dreams for your future together.

Once the sun goes down on your daily Caribbean cruise adventure, and you've returned from your daily land excursion, you have the chance over dinner to share experiences with other cruisers sharing your Caribbean adventure. Haven eating your fill (and then some!), you and your partner need to choose how to spend the evening - will it be one of the on board cabaret shows, gambling in the casino, or dancing the night away in one of the discos? Don't forget to take a walk around the deck before returning to your cabin for the night - the memory of the romance of a walk under a starry Caribbean sky, mingled with the soft sound of music coming from one of the dance floors and the smell of the ocean will stay with you long after your romantic Caribbean cruise is over.

Panama is one of the few countries in the world with the best geographic locations. It links and gives connection and bond between the North and South American countries. It consists of several islands which are subdivided into smaller islets with some of these islets having no names. Panama has one thousand islands on its Pacific side and six hundred islands on its Caribbean side. Among these six hundred islands along its Caribbean coastline, about two-thirds of these are located east of its capital and most are at the end of the isthmus. Panama's islands have always been a frequent and favorite location for the popular American reality show, "Survivor" and are not surprising why many showed their interest on the island.

The islands of Panama are among the most beautiful islands in the whole world and most of these islands caused its creation and formation because of the volcanic activities. Here are some of the famous and most visited islands in Panama that are worth visiting and never be missed:

The San Blas Island

The San Blas Island placed and positioned at the northeast of the mainland, is one the most popular island in the country. In San Blas, there are more than 200 islets here but only half of them or 113 have names and the other 100 islets are nameless. Almost 30 islands are entirely of corals. In San Blas, you can enjoy diving, snorkeling, and fishing in this island.

The Colon Island

The Colon Island is placed in the northern-most and in the Bocas del Toro region and is one of the most beautiful and one of the largest archipelago of the islands. It is the country's biggest tourist attraction and near the Caribbean Sea and the perfect island for nature lovers. In this island, the most famous are beachfront hotels, restaurants and discotheques and the residential districts. When you are here, you can visit other nearby islands through private boats or through renting a water taxi.

The Boca Brava Island

The Island of Boca Brava is located at the Gulf of Chirique in the Pacific coast of Panama. This is a virtually uninhabited island where the marine national park is also located. The Boca Brava is a small island yet there is something for everyone here, may it be for relaxing or participating in activities like diving and snorkeling or riding and surfing. In addition, the island is a good spot for birders and those who enjoy wildlife watching since it homes to hundreds of monkeys and turtles and raccoons. Located here are Linarte, Las Ventanas and Saino which are among the uninhabited islands and has crystal clear waters.

The Pearl Island

The Pearl Island also known as the Archipelago de las Perlas is located 50 miles from the capital of Panama, the Panama City. It has a group of 100 or more islands and many of them are small and uninhabited. Its largest islands are the San Jose and the Isla del Rey. This island has always been featured by the reality TV show, Survivor. Other TV shows that feature this island includes the Israeli version of and the BBC TV series, The Real Swiss Family Robinson.

Everyone is always asking me about the different scents the Home Interiors candles have. I know it gets a bit confusing especially when some scents are only offered in a particular candle size which also seems to confuse some people. So I've written out an explanation on this to try and help people figure this out before making their purchase.

Let's start simple, there are 3 different candle jar sizes offered by the Home Interiors Company. The smallest size is called the petite jar which has approximately 48 hours of burn time and weighs around 7.5 ounces. This size offers the most scent choices. Everyone's favorite of course is the baked apple pie but also available are Caribbean splash, plum crazy, caramel pear, hot cinnamon buns, mango cooler, berries and brown sugar, cinnamon peach cobbler, apple pie a la mode, strawberry shake, daybreak, fruit jubilee, and vanilla and cinnamon.

Soon they will be adding Island Pineapple and Lime Vanilla to the collection. They have recently discontinued the icing and iced lemon scents. Now there are also layered and unlayered candles in this size the layered candles are the Apple Pie a la Mode, strawberry shake, daybreak, and fruit jubilee.

The medium size jar is called the Hurricane jar which weighs 15.5 ounces and burns for approximately 88 hours. There are no layered candles in this size. Your choice of scents in this candle size are again baked apple pie, rose, gardenia, lavender, wild sunflowers, coastline, magnolia and white musk, Hawaiian tuberose, sweet honeysuckle, and sunlit linen. Of the recently discontinued candles in this size are fig blossom and linden blossom.

The last size and the largest size are called the Ginger Jar. This one burns approximately 110 hours and weighs 22 ounces. This is probably the best value to purchase. Available scents in this size are baked apple pie, tropical paradise, Neapolitan ice cream, fruit slices, and bobbing for apples. Soon they will be adding Red, White, and Blueberry which is a seasonal candle for the summer. Ever scent except the baked apple pie is layered.

Barbados is a jewel in the Caribbean islands, and has much to offer to visitors. Barbados was named by the Portuguese and means 'bearded one'; this could be because of the fig trees that have long hanging roots, or the foam created by waves breaking on the cliffs. But whatever the reason, Barbados is the perfect tropical island to spend a vacation - or even get married on. Barbados has an international airport, where there are daily flights coming in and leaving for destinations all around the world. There are a number of good hotels and resorts to stay in while vacationing in Barbados. Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados, and there are 11 administrative parishes in Barbados.

For those who want to soak up the sun and relax on the beach, Barbados has a 60 mile coastline. In Barbados there are plenty of activities that can be enjoyed on its sun soaked beaches such as swimming, scuba diving, sea sports, sailing, and light surfing. There are sailing and motor boats that can be hired to sail or tour around the island on, or you can visit one of the neighbouring islands using the boat.

Shopping is also very attractive as there are plenty of duty free shops in Barbados and impulsive shoppers find them a huge attraction. The mangrove swamps of Graeme Hall Nature is filled with brackish water and two varieties of mangroves - and thousands of egrets return here for the night, which makes it a place to visit for nature lovers. The St Lawrence Gap, just known as 'the gap', is a mile and a half stretch of bars, dance clubs, restaurants, resorts, inns, and shops. There are some internationally acclaimed restaurants located here. It's a popular place filled with tourists, especially in the evening.

Mount Gay Distilleries have been producing the world famous Mount Gay rum for over 300 years, and are one of the oldest distilleries in the world. Sailors would bring back a barrel of Mount Gay rum to prove they had been to Barbados. The distillery is worth a visit. For those interested in horticulture, the Andromeda Gardens are worth visiting. It was started as a private collection and was then opened to the public to raise funds.

There are a number of interesting places to visit in Barbados, and if there is a cricket match on then the Kingston Stadium is filled with spectators as all West Indians love the sport.

A number of festivals are held each year which are lively, fun filled, and are certainly most enjoyable to participate in. The West Indians are a fun loving, easy going, and friendly people and they love their homeland, cricket, and rum. There are golf courses for people who love golf. However, playing golf in Barbados is very different as the climate is tropical and it can be quite windy at times.

Getting around Barbados can be quite a fun loving experience, as the route taxis are small buses that follow the most scenic routes and will pick up the maximum number of passengers on the way. As the entire atmosphere is relaxed, a ride in these taxis can be a lot of fun.

A vacation in Barbados is always exhilarating, relaxing, and very refreshing. It is the ideal place to visit for unwinding and having some fun.

When people travel to new areas for an extended period of time, one issue they have to consider is the how much they will have to pay for accommodations. Short term rentals are now becoming a popular choice for many people over staying at hotels. Short term rentals are designed to provide guests with a home like environment, but with all of the comforts of a hotel. One important benefit of staying in a short term rental over that of a hotel is that they are cheaper.

The cost of staying at a short term rental can be $20.00 or more a night cheaper than if you stayed at a hotel. If you are staying for a week, month, or three months, the savings will really add up. As well, with a short term rental, you will have a complete kitchen with all the modern appliances. You will save a lot of money eating from the rental than if you were to dine out in restaurants everyday. You will really notice the savings if you have family staying with you.

Along with the lower price, you will also get more features than you would with a hotel. Depending on what type of rental you choose, you can have such features as spacious rooms, multiple bedrooms, all of the utilities, laundry services, separate dining and living rooms, high speed internet, and phone services. Luxury and convenience comes with rentals while living in a homey environment. Depending on the rental, you may have access to saunas, pools, and recreational activities such as gymnasiums and tennis courts. As well, you have more of a choice of the type of accommodations and amenities than with a hotel.

There are short term rentals available in a wide variety of areas. You can stay in the heart of a city or in a more rural area near an urban area. As well, they are available as apartments, condominiums, studio apartments, and even houses. People have more of a choice than a hotel while paying less than a hotel.

Short term rentals are not just more affordable than hotels, they are more appealing. You can expect a beautifully furnished rental with some containing outdoor decks and back yards. There is much more privacy than with a hotel too. Many rental apartments are run by locals, not international hotel chains, therefore your money stays in the local economy and benefits local residents

There are many short term rentals available and they vary in size, price, number, and type of amenities. Stays can vary from days to months. People who take advantage of short term housing include businesses professionals, people who are relocating to a new area, people looking for a new home, home renovators, vacationers...etc. Why stay at an expensive hotel when you can pay less for a rental. After you have stayed at a rental, you will not want to go back to a hotel. It is basically a home away from home.

When it comes to organizing a holiday aboard a cruise ship, many individuals focus only on planning your cruise. For many people this is typically an expensive mistake, taking under consideration the assorted factors concerned in defining the price of a cruise. When many folks become mindful of this fact, it is usually too late to change the terms. It is always best to be well informed to make the best decision when it comes to go on a cruise.

When booking a cruise, it is critical to try to be lots of time as near as feasible to the point of exit of the vessel. It is always advisable to try to locate the cruises leaving from any of the encompassing towns. Sadly, for many this is really improbable. A restricted number of coastal locations serve as ports of departure of the ship cruises, so you must travel with sufficient time not having to depend on reservations at the last moment.

This situation is very important as it may end up in extra costs of your holiday taking into account what had been predicted earlier. In the event you have to make travel plans to arrive at your place of departure of cruise, you should consider all options.

These options may include driving your own car, a rental car, flying in an aircraft, riding the bus, or take the train. All travel strategies above are achievable, but the option you select, perhaps, be based primarily on convenience and cost of the trip. There are numerous benefits that include travel agents when somebody takes both the cruise package as the excursion of arrival to the area where the ship depart.

The best advantage of planning ahead is that his trip will be easy. More so if you can manage your own vehicle. When driving your own vehicle, planning is often more easy. The sole consideration to drive your own auto is the cost of petrol. If you've got to drive a long distance, the price could increase noticeably. If you're concerned about on the way and this may affect your car, you may hire one. Rental cars are a good way to reach your designation without an insufficient quantity of planning. Unfortunately, the price of petrol will also have an effect on the budget.

Another important factor is that the vehicle rental must be paid for days, and if your car leased must get left in a car park could be losing money. Flying is a popular system for this kind of route nevertheless, could be a bit dear. If the departure port of your cruise ship is just a couple of hours, air travel may not be the most suitable option.

However there are some cases where air travel may be the only option. If you're without your own automobile, flying might be an option to get to the placement of your cruise departure. Journeying to the exit locale of your cruise ship by bus or train are other travel options satisfying. Must travel with acceptable time, but both are cheap techniques to travel. Many of us can easily afford a bus ticket or train tickets. With the exception of excessive stops, it is possible that you could have some issues trying to find a station close to the departure point of the cruise. Bus and train stations are only available in limited locations. You may find it tricky or not possible to discover a station that offers a service to the location of your preference. Every one of the methods that have been discussed travel have their advantages and disadvantages but are commonest.

What's the best way to purchase cruise excursions?

I am going on a cruise in May on Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas (Nassau and Coco Cay) and was just wondering what was the best route to go when buying excursions. Looks like the excursions that RC provides on their website are limited and pricey. Is there a site I can look at that is good with excursions? Should I just wait til I get off the boat to buy excursions? My wife and I will probably want to go to a resort and hangout by the pool and beach and have a couple of drinks. Also a jet ski tour would be cool too. Thanks in advance!

Sign up with cruisecritic.com. Then go to boards, Roll call, Royal Caribbean, then your ship and finally your sailing date. There you can chat with fellow cruisers and ask about shore excursions. You will get a ton of tips and maybe a group deal for a shore excursion too. Also on that web site you will find many more cruise tips. Most of these people do independent shore excursions, but they are also a great source for shore excursions through the cruise company. I have gotten the best advice and tips ever from cruisecritic.

which caribean island is best to visit in december? (best answer 10 pts)?

hello,

I'm a Californian looking for a winter break vacation with my girlfriend in December. I want to go somewhere warm and tropical. Which Caribbean island is the warmest and tourist friendly?

These are the ACTIVITIES I would like to participate in:

-Snorkeling, Kayaking and swiming.
-hiking, biking, horseback riding
-romantic dinner and dancing
-any historical sites (museums, churches, castles, battle sites)

thanks

Lots of islands have what you are looking for, but I think you should definitely look more into Puerto Rico. PR is probably the island with the most to do & see you can never get bored. It's a US territory so you do not need a passport & everything is relatively safe. You can rent a car & explore on your own and not have to worry about the water, it's safe right from the tap.

Old San Juan has tons of historic sites. El Morro Fort is a huge war fort built by the spaniards to protect the island, many battles took place here. There are old church's & cathedrals, museums & more. The streets are paved with cobblestone & the homes are old spanish colonial style. It's a beautiful place with tons of culture & history. San Juan is a big city & it also has very modern areas. There is shopping, restaurants, casinos, tons of nightlife & more.

The Bacardi Factory gives free tours close to San Juan, you just have to take a ferry over. You can also go to El yunque rain forest and hike & swim in cool waterfalls. Camuy caves are nice & close by is the worlds largest radio telescope in Arecibo. There is a bioluminescent bay that glows in the dark where you can take night time kayak rides. Puerto Rico has horseback riding on the beach or you can go to a Hacienda. And there is tons of watersports & any other sports you can think of :) Check out the links below. I also think D.R. & Mexico would be good for you but they are not as safe & therefore less free to roam around.
