Caribbean cruise or Cuba for 22 female solo traveler to have blast?

I am planning last minutes trip to go on caribbean cruise for a week or Cuba for 2 weeks on next week. I have been to Cuba and have an friend there, and I want to travel parts of the country where I couldnt go last time. However, taking cruise sounds fun. I can go several islands where I have never been. I am out going, adventurous, willing to meet new people and have fun! Which trip will be safer, cheaper (student, dont have lots of money), and blast?? If anyone could give me some advice and push my back, that'll be great! Thanks a lot!

Probably too late to get on a cruise next week. The cruise lines have deadlines by which time they must submit their passengers lists to security. Also, you'd have to pay "double" the fare, as the cabins are priced as double-occupancy - the fare you see is for one of two persons in a cabin, but you pay for both.

For many weary people seeking a relaxing, warm, and sunny holiday, the Caribbean is the place to go! The islands of Cuba, Antigua in the West Indies, and Barbados, North of Venezuela all offer a unique holiday filled with sunshine.

A Cuba holiday is the perfect plan for someone looking for an interesting, laid-back experience. With a long and unique history of self-sufficiency, Cuba offers something a little different than other Caribbean islands. Cars from the 1950s inhabit the roadways, and beautiful and intricate colonial buildings decorate the capital of Havana. Havana hotels are a lovely mixture of incredible architecture and fascinating history. Ernest Hemingway loved Havana and enjoyed Cuba so much that he wrote a great deal of his famous works from a hotel in Havana. A visitor on holiday can enjoy the architecture and vibrant music and Afro-Latin culture of Cuba from many Havana hotels.

Antigua in the West Indies is a lovely island for a Caribbean holiday. A luxury escape, Antigua is the desired vacation destination for well-known dignitaries and wealthy entrepreneurs from around the globe. There are Antigua hotels right by the beach, offering overlooks of the sea, and the opportunity to walk out of the door onto the sparkling shore. Antigua is home to 365 breath-taking beaches, so there are endless opportunities to soak in the sun, the sand, and the water, whether tourists are looking for a bustling expedition, or a relaxing beach escape. Antigua also boasts an incredible coral reef, the perfect destination for snorkelers, and diverse duty-free shopping in the city of St. John's.

Another beautiful Caribbean destination is the island Barbados. Also known as "Little England", Barbados is home to a number of small villages, busy towns, and relaxing beaches. Barbados hotels offers a wonderful escape for people on holiday, looking for rest and relaxation or a wild and eventful night life. In order to truly enjoy all Barbados has to offer, travelers should be sure to visit the sea, whether on a catamaran tour or on a snorkeling adventure. Each resort has a great deal to offer, from fantastic beaches to delicious drinks, but the quaint villages are worth a visit as well. The East coast has incredible scenery, and the South has a lively night life. No matter what the tourist is seeking, it can be find on Barbados.

For a relaxing or exciting holiday, visit the tropical Caribbean!

Why do racist people go to the Caribbean on holiday?

There are racist people who hate blacks, but they love to visit countries like Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad. Does anyone know the reason for this?-its stupid that they hate blacks but want to be where we are. lol
If you don't like us, stop taking vacation to black countries

Its not only that, but they sit in the sun and burn to a crisp trying to be as black as the locals, yet still have the audacity complain about black people.

Rte. 138 on the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River is known as the Whale Watching Trail. Thirteen species of whale visit the North coast of the Gulf of St. Lawrence during the summer months in search of plentiful plankton. The road traverses many different ecosystems, from the hardwood forests of birches and maples to spruce and fir forested mountains, mud flat coastal plains, and rugged rocky shores. At Baie Ste Catherine the road ends and a ferry ride of fifteen minutes takes you across the Saguenay River Fjord, where the forested mountains kiss the waters. For a distance of forty miles on either side of the fjord is Parc Saguenay, a Provincial Park of Quebec. This is an excellent place to catch a whale watching excursion, which also takes you up into the fjord. On our way across the fjord we had to wait while one of these boats made its way up the fjord. Nearby, just South of Baie Ste. Catherine is a casino, where you can try your luck at the slots or gaming tables.

There is a scenic outlook stop just outside of Ragueneau, about ten miles South of Baie Comeau. What greets you is very surprising: two coral-pink concrete dinosaurs and a white 100 foot obelisk. The area was the brain child of M. Rinald Girard, who wanted to erect a monument to the spirit of the area. The dinosaurs represent the forces of nature and the beauty of the region before recorded history. The obelisk represents the bounty of benevolence which the area has given to the settlers. At the site is a boat ramp, numerous potted plants, and a gazebo with benches and tables to watch the birds on the offshore islands, the harbor seals, and the occasional whale. Even though this place is not in the tourist books or on the map, there was a constant stream of visitors to take in the view.

Baie Comeau was established by Robert McCormick, owner of the Chicago Tribune, because of his need for pulp wood to make newsprint. Besides the logging industry, Alcoa Aluminum has a large processing plant there.

Take the eleven mile trip to the hydro-electric dam, Manix 2. We had planned to visit the dam on our way. The journey of ten miles takes almost one half an hour, due to the terrain of the roads, a roller coaster ride.

The dam is pretty impressive. It is one of a series of nine hydro-electric dams in the area, which produces about thirty percent of the electrical needs for all of Provence Quebec. The ninety minute tour was in French, but there are English translations. The guide takes you through the interior of the dam itself (very impressive), and the powerhouse, where you actually saw the electricity being made by the massive turbines. The process is like a water mill. The water flows over the wheel, which spins a larger wheel surrounded by electromagnets. The spinning causes negative and positive charges with the magnets: ergo AC current.

The ferry from Baie Comeau to Matane offers many different services: dining room, cafeteria, bar, play room for children, and lounge chairs. It is late whjen you reach the other sid of the St. Lawrence River. You can stay on the dock until morning.

Visiting Puerto Rico do and don't s.

I am thinking about visiting Puerto Rico to shoot some pictures. Is it a safe place to wander around? I've traveled extensively in Europe and Asia, but will be a first to the Caribbean side.

By the way, what is the best way to get around the island? Taxi's a decent rate, and safe?

Would appreciate all advice on do and don't s in Puerto Rico. I guess my biggest concern is my photo equipment.

DO:

Explore Old San Juan & el Morro Fort
Go to el Yunque rain forest & swim in the waterfalls
See the Arecibo Telescope & Camuy Caves
Kayak in a bioluminescent bay
Go out & enjoy the nightlife
Dance
Eat the local cuisine (comida criolla)
Relax on the beach (lay on a hammock, drink from a coconut)
check out culebra or vieques islands
Go surfing or try some watersports
Check out what Ponce & the south coast has to offer
Do something cultural (go to a festival or a cockfight)
Drive through the mountains just to see the view
Listen to the coqui frogs sing at night
Rent a car & drive around yourself (much cheaper & more convenient)

---------------
DON'T:

dont go to any bad neighborhoods or caserios
dont do anything dumb (use common sense)
dont stay in one place (there is too much to see)
dont forget the suncreen or bugspray
dont leave your camera equipment unattended or in an un-locked car

Travel ventures international, also known as TVI Express is one of the newest network marketing companies. Since its launch, the company has already started up in India and China and in August of 2009, TVI also launched in Canada and the United States. Let's begin our TVI Express Review and ascertain as to whether or not the TVI Express scam really exists.

First, let's cover what the company markets TVI offers travel and travel related products on a low cost basis. He also appear to have exclusive relationship with some of the largest names in the industry; Royal Caribbean, Disney, British Airways and Carnival Cruise. Apparently on the Internet, some distributors have stated that with an initial investment of only $250 you can reap in $10,000 in a matter of weeks. While not impossible, it does seem pretty unlikely. So, we've covered the products and services of travel ventures and now can debunk TVI scam myth.

Travel Ventures claims to be hitting on three giant trends. The trends TVI says they are taking advantage of are Internet sales and home business trends Although I agree with the fact that these are growing and profitable markets, I am not sure that TVI is the best business to take advantage of these. The third and final trend, and with the biggest for TVI, will be the travel industry. in my opinion, this will only happen if they can make a lot of repeat customers in the travel industry.

Their compensation plan is what is called a 2 x 2 forced matrix. The system consists of two revolving boards and associate must fill a board to move to the next level in the company when new levels are reached bonuses are paid, again, many claim that this is very often achieved within four weeks. I highly doubt this for most of their sign-ups. How can these types of commissions be paid only two sign-ups per person are being achieved? Their banking on the fact that their associates will be repeat customers in the travel industry and make purchases from their partner companies. So, essentially TVI Express is a buyer's club for travel and hospitality type products and services.

So, is TVI express a great network marketing opportunity? I think yes. Is it the greatest thing since sliced bread, no. I have been asked to join this company, and I have declined. Now, in no way do I mean to bash the company and I believe they will be around for long time and will be very profitable. I just don't see travel ventures international team each income levels that I desire. Please, don't think I'm trying to dissuade you from joining the TVI company, I'm just pointing out why I haven't.

If you are going to join TVI and you plan to be one of those associates who take the $250 investment and turns it into $10,000, you were going to need to do something right.First of all, you must have a business plan. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but there are two ways to run your business The first consists of constant rejection and humiliation so we will eliminate that one right away.

Like I said earlier, although I do not believe this to be the next billion-dollar network marketing company, that in no way means that someone cannot make a very good income. If you learn how to market your Travel Ventures business correctly you can easily become a top earner within months. And, with the power of the Internet, coupled with extensive training and an easy-to-follow system this is achieved quite easily. It is up to you, however, to have the ambition to learn the skills and discipline yourself to be a true success in your Travel Ventures International opportunity. That is the second option, in my opinion, the right one.

Does anyone know anything about Caribbean Cruise Line? Is it a scam? Has anyone gone?

I received an offer in the mail and it seems like a really good deal.

No scam. I went on this cruise recently and thought it was great. The boat is nice and the staff if friendly. You will have to pay $59 each for port fees which is standard with any cruise you go on. Have fun!

Recent studies concluded that Hawaii family vacations rated number one among 2006 hot family vacation destinations. One third of the respondents think a beach house in Hawaii would be the best family vacation.

The second rated among desired family vacation destinations was Caribbean or Mexico family cruise vacations. The cruise and Hawaiian beach house proved to be the most gender-safe vacation options.

More than four fifths of 16 to 20 year-old respondents favored the Hawaii family vacation or cruise to any other vacation choice.

More than 60 million tourists traveled to Hawaii in 2006 alone reported by the State of Hawaii's Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism. In addition, the top ten family resorts stated by Travel and Leisure Magazine are the Hilton Waikoloa Village and the Four Seasons Resort

Haulalai at Historic Kaupulehu, the two on the Big Island.

Family cruise vacations also rated very high among the respondents. About one third stated interest in a Caribbean or Mexico cruise. Can you say Pina Colada? Family cruises or beach houses may be the best selection for a gender safe vacation and a near equal percent of men and women preferred one of the two.

Disney vacations represented fourteen percent of the respondents. Eight percent went to Lake Tahoe ski trips and dude ranches was four percent. With Washington DC and the many government buildings having three percent. Interesting enough is the fact 25-34 year-old women mostly preferred a Disney family vacation.

Overall, fifteen percent of the men liked the Lake Tahoe family vacation the most, and the Disney vacation represented seven percent the least. Contrary to expectations, eighteen percent of the women best-loved the Disney family vacation, in opposition to the four percent for Lake Tahoe family vacation .

On the Travel and Leisure Magazine's top ten family resorts list was Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney Wilderness Lodge, and Disney BoardWalk Inn and Villas, all of which are in Orlando, Fl.

What was/is your favorite Caribbean Island vacation or honeymoon destination?

Aruba. Laying about on lounge chairs on the beach, watching the pelicans fish. Soaking in the ocean, while the sun glistens on the waves around you. In the evening, walking to a restaurant, feeling refreshed and happy, the air balmy, huge moon in the sky. Sitting out in the balcony of the hotel, listening to the people partying below. The best thing about Aruba is the easy going spirit of the island. The people are respectful, laid back and let you do your own thing. The best place for honeymooners!

What exactly is an Alaskan cruise? What do you do on a cruise and how long are you gone? These are some of the questions people may ask when looking into a cruise for a vacation as opposed to taking a more traditional vacation. On a cruise, you have most everything provided for you. Yes, this means your food, room, and ports of call. There are extras you can pay for, like alcoholic or soda beverages on some cruise lines, and day excursions when you pull into the ports, but your entertainment is provided. Usually you need to get to the starting point, but there are cruises out there that can include this as well.

So what would you do if you went on an Alaskan cruise? One of the things you would want to know is where do you stop along the way and what do you do when you get there? In Nome visit the Carrie M. McLain Memorial Museum, take a walking tour, see the Nome National "forest," visit the East End Park and in the evening view the Northern Lights. Seward is another port and you could go to the Alaska Sea Life Center, Grand View Train Station, see Bear Lake, Mount Marathon, and visit Kenai Fjords National Park or Chugach National Forest. If you stop in Sitka you'll be able to see Sheldon Jackson and Isabel Miller museums, Anb Hall, participate in the Sitka Summer Music Festival. Sitka has an Alaska Raptor Center and Whale Park and don't miss the Archangel Dancers. You may stop in Valdez as well. A lot of cruises start or stop here. You can see Worthington Glacier, Keystone Canyon Pack Trail and Solomon Gulch. Also, don't miss the Last Frontier Theatre Conference.

So what if you want to just hang out on the ship? What is there to do? The cruise is designed to keep everyone entertained, regardless of your age, whether you are single or with a family, and no matter what your wants are. If you crave socialization, then sit back and prepare to enjoy the formal dining and shows provided. What type of shows? Well, not your average theatre variety! Cruises provide Las Vegas style shows, magic shows, singers and musicians. There are varieties to choose from, depending on the atmosphere you are looking for. Perhaps you are in the mood for dancing but don't know how; well, check out the itinerary and see what types of activities there are. You might just find dance lessons given!

But if you want to spend most of your time with your family, not necessarily socializing with newly met people, this is okay too. A cruise can provide special dinners, swimming pools or hot tubs, you can read on the deck or stroll it, or perhaps do some whale watching. Whatever you decide, the need to plan all your activities is not something you have to worry about with taking a cruise. So enjoy!

Where is cheap to go on holiday? I mean ridiculously cheap?

I have never been on holiday before and really want to go. I don't have any money so it would have to be somewhere cheap, but still good enough to be worth getting a loan for.
I would love to go to the caribbean but I overstand that it is too expensive so I would be happy going anywhere really, except party holiday places or Spain.
Have you been somewhere that was cheap, all inclusive, but still nice that you can recommend?..
Thank you x
Oh yeah, sorry I live near London in the UK.
And I guess under £400 is what I would call cheap for all inclusive, hotel and flights.
Was thinking maybe a eurotunnel to Paris would be cheap but found nothing under £1000 yet :(
ALSO I was thinking to go for my birthday in November and for 4 or 5 nights MAX.

Don't go on a £400 holiday on a loan. This is ridiculous and you can't afford it. What is wrong with you people. Don't get into debts for a holiday. You can have as good a time nearer home.
And have you found your passport yet ?

You might not know which island you want to visit, and honestly, you don't even know exactly where the Caribbean is. This shouldn't stop you from planning a trip there, however, so start readying yourself to spend a few days breathing in the sweet ocean air and dancing to the beat of a steel drum.

The Caribbean is the region of islands that includes the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Barbados, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, and several others. No single place stands out as the most beautiful or accommodating, but everyone has their favorite. Soon you will too, so start perusing the options at hand.

Not that every Caribbean beach is interchangeable, but it is highly likely that you'll be pleased with whichever island you choose to stay on, so long as the accommodations meet your standards, that is. By picking out a vacation rental that suits your personality and vision of a dream trip, you'll be setting yourself up for success.

Perhaps you've been planning to sweep your partner away for a few romantic days alone. Make yourself at home in the fully-equipped kitchen and whip up some hors d'oeuvres, to be enjoyed with rum cocktails out on the private deck, of course. Take a soak in the whirlpool tub before snuggling into the king-size bed, and then enjoy the best sleep you've had in years. Your beloved will feel pampered, and you'll feel proud of yourself for being the one to initiate such a pleasing experience.

If the Cayman Islands strike your fancy, then snatch up a villa on the famous Seven-Mile Beach. Stores and restaurants are just down the road, as well as water sports shops that will rent equipment and instruct you in your under-the-sea adventures. Your villa will be, amazingly, just across the street from this golfer's paradise, so don't worry about paying for transportation. At the end of your most scenic round ever, you'll be happy to stroll back "home" for a snack and a shower before heading back out for a night of island entertainment.
